     For official filming such as institutions, an official document and mail (including e-mail) must be submitted to the Cheongwadae Management Planing Bureau of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism five(5) business days prior to the entrance for event(7 days including weekends).

    Building, Nokjiwon Garden, Sugungteo Site, and Chimnyugak Pavilion are all popular sites for photography. There is an indicator for a “photo hotspot” in front of the Large Garden of the Main Building. Before the opening of Cheong Wa Dae to the public, the small number of allowed visitors enjoyed taking photos at this indicated spot.

    There is no parking lot for visitors, so public transportation is recommended.

    Take buses Nos. 1711, 1020, 7018, 7016, 7022 and 7212 at Exit No. 3 of Gyeongbokgung Station on Seoul Subway Line 3 and get off at the Hyoja-dong stop after two stops.

    Personal wheelchairs and strollers are allowed. Rental of wheelchairs and strollers is also available at the Tourist Information Centers (Go straight from the main gate and one by the barcode verification gate past Chunchumun Gate). Please inquire with one of our guides.

    Yes. Simple drinks are allowed, but the compound has no designated dining area. Due to COVID-19, eating at Cheong Wa Dae is not recommended. Please make sure to properly discard any garbage in a trash can.

    There are no cafés or snack bars within Cheong Wa Dae. However, there is a bottled vending machine installed in the Chunchugwan(1st floor, only cash) for visitors. In addition, there is a café that sells drinks and snacks at Sarangchae in front of Cheong Wa Dae.

    Souvenirs are available for purchase at a store on the first floor of Sarangchae in front of Cheong Wa Dae.

    No, smoking is banned throughout the complex to protect public health and Cheong Wa Dae, a national cultural asset, from a fire hazard.
